You may then want to create something--a song, joke, or funny picture--that helps you lighten your feelings about this problem. You could, for example, try looking at your life from the perspective of a mischievous child and think of a way in which you can turn the situation around so that it loses its gravity. You may find that the playful person in you can bring joy to this as well as other aspects of your life today. Using our sense of humor is a wonderful way to change the tone of our lives. There are times when we are serious and our lives lack a sense of play. Other times, we may unintentionally harm others with our pranks. But if we can conscientiously use our lighthearted moods, we can address the aspects of our lives that seem serious.
