Troop Nola car chases: For the third day in a row, state troopers assigned to the new Troop Nola initiated a high speed car chase through the city that ended in a crash. The car chases are notable because the New Orleans Police Department generally has much tighter restrictions on vehicle pursuits, Missy Wilkinson and Gabriella Killett report. Big investment: Gayle Benson’s investment company now has a stake in two properties aimed at student populations in Atlanta and Dallas-Forth Worth. Business writer Tony McAuley reports the investments come from Benson Capital Partners’ $50 million real estate fund, which the Saints and Pelicans owner started last year along with other investors. Hog wild: Cheating in a hog hunting contest? A group of men is accused of entering wild hogs caught in Texas in a pair of Louisiana hog hunting contests. That’s a no-no, Mike Smith reports.
