Car of the Week: 1995 Pontiac SLP Firehawk
Dan Oliver doesn't take offense when somebody acts puzzled or tells him they've never heard of a Pontiac Firehawk.
Until he bought one and became a big fan of the factory hot rods, Oliver says he didn't know much about them, either.
"I think I had read about Firehawks but had ever seen one I person. I did a lot of research [after buying one," says Oliver, a resident of Cibolo, Texas, located just a few miles northeast of San Antonio. "I take it to shows and people never heard of a Firehawk. They have no idea what it is. They've heard of the Firebird, but they have no idea with a Firehawk is."

Washington, D.C.- The Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) www.historicvehicle.org announced that three iconic cars representing unique American car culture will be displayed "center stage" on the National Mall in Washington D.C. from April 12 to May 4, 2017.

The Special Exhibit tent of Iola will feature rare Camaros from all generations, but perhaps none more interesting than N100001, the original prototype Camaro. Discovered by chance by a kid not old enough to drive, General Motors couldn't have dreamed up a more surprising life for this car if they'd tried. No. 1 had been modified, raced and seen several owners.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Hornets Nest Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will welcome more than 150,000 collector vehicle devotees to the Charlotte AutoFair on the grounds of the Charlotte Motor Speedway for four days of automotive fun April 6-9.
On Saturday, the Hornets Next Region is hosting the 10th Charlotte AACA Southeastern Spring Meet with more than 300 pristine show vehicles ready for judging. The AACA Meet is held in front of the track on Highway U.S. 29. There is no admission fee. The Region will also host a "Cruise-In Charlotte AutoFair" on Thursday and Friday. Read More...
