News from the metropolitan region: online exchange especially for caravans and motorhomes

| | | | | | Edition 26 | 2024 | | | Dear John Do, | | More and more people are hitting the roads this summer in motorhomes or caravans amid rising popularity. Caravanning holidaymakers generated a turnover of more than EUR 18 billion in 2022 or an increase of 20 per cent over 2021, according to the German Economic Institute for Tourism (DWIF). An increasingly digital camping scene is also driving this trend, said Sebastian Holzwarth, Managing Director of Caravana, a start-up based in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region.
