Blood Glucose Control Affects Morbidity and Mortality in COVID-19

Long-Awaited Cardiovascular Efficacy and Safety Results From VERTIS-CV
Letter from the Editor

About 3 weeks ago we had an article on the value of a low carb diet for reversing diabetes. Now, in a further deep dive of the data, we see that it can actually turn pre-diabetes around. Pre-diabetes is a quasi-diagnosis that is not classified as a disease so we are not forced to treat it, but we all know what is going to come next.

Our publisher, Steve Freed, has always said “If you live like you have diabetes you will never get it,” and this has certainly turned out to be true.

This week our intern, Brianna Belton, PharmD. Candidate FAMU College of Pharmacy, has a review of the literature and studies that led to this idea.

A few of you may notice a small change to your DIC subscription starting today. We are phasing out the DCMS (Mastery) edition label. If you signed up to receive only our Mastery or Main newsletters, you will now receive both Tuesday and Saturday editions of our Main newsletter.
