You're Invited to the Caregiver Conference |

Dear Caregivers,
Greetings Caregivers! Let’s celebrate National Caregivers Month with a conference just for You! We invite you to join us on November 17, 2023 for our Annual Caregiver Conference from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ateaze Senior Center in Dundalk on 7401 Holabird Avenue.
Our theme this year is “It’s All About Perspective: Caregiving from a Different Lens”. We are celebrating National Caregivers Month! This is a FREE EVENT to help our wonderful caregivers look at caregiving a different way. Our goal is for caregivers to gain new knowledge and skills that will assist them in their caregiving, in order to improve the quality of life for themselves and those they provide care.
Brief Agenda for the day;
-Continental breakfast from 8:30-9 a.m.
-Keynote speaker, Aaron Blight, will speak on “The Role of the Caregiver as a Learner”
-3 Breakout sessions (you pick 2 and attend one in the morning and one in the afternoon): - “Care partners: Reframing the Caregiving Relationship”
- “Uplift Your Spirit Through Humor”
- “Anticipatory Grief” (managing grief while your loved one is living with a chronic illness)
-Maryland Department of Disabilities (MDOD) will speak briefly about their assisted devices program and have devices you can try out at their resource table.
-Lunch 12:30-1:30pm
-3 raffles—Self-care basket from , book raffle “When Caregiving Calls” by our keynote speaker
and a mystery prize
Resource tables include: Baltimore County Dept of Aging programs including Caregiver & Dementia Friendly, “Ask a Pharmacist” Q & A, MDOD and assisted devices, and more.
