Joint Commission suspends Top Performing hospital program

A good job is its own reward, but that doesn't mean recognition isn't appreciated. Last year, 1,043 hospitals (31.5% of those analyzed) were recognized by The Joint Commission's Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® program. Inclusion on the top performers' list is a huge source of pride for many facilities, with those who've made the cut proudly announcing their success on websites and foyer walls. Which is why The Joint Commission's decision to place the program on hiatus in 2016 has caused a stir in the accreditation world.
