Picked in the 14th round of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection, Hilton came to the OHL with few expectations. In his first training camp, he did enough to impress the Ottawa 67's brass, but wouldn't stick with the Barber Poles, instead returning home, where he played U18 with the Oshawa Generals 'AAA'.
