At the end of last week, the British government informed us that, contrary to previous announcements, the CE marking will continue to be valid after the end of 2024. We have summarized the current information for you in this newsletter.

In addition, we would like to draw your attention to a new webinar. On August 31, we will discuss Combined Equipment under the Radio Equipment Directive and take a closer look at the respective requirements. Our new webinar will focus on the consideration of Combined Equipment according to the requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU. In doing so, we will shed light on the definition of combined equipment and go into the approaches for evaluating the product.

UK accepts CE marking even after 2024

The authorities in the United Kingdom confirmed at the beginning of August that CE marking will continue to be recognized as approval for products with radio technologies even after December 2024. In addition to radio products, there are a number of other product categories to which this decision applies. More details can be found in our news on the topic.

Electrical Safety testing at cetecom advanced

Electrical safety is an important basic requirement under which technology products are approved for the market. It is therefore an integral part of the regulatory tests for certification and the associated market approval. We are accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) to perform regulatory tests of electrical safety and thus to accompany you on the way to market approval. This includes tests according to EN/IEC 62368-1, EN 61010-1 and accredited testing in accordance with the requirements of the CB program, as well as NRTL/UL certification for approval on the US and Canadian market.
