Cedar Point settles lawsuit with Michigan woman injured in Top Thrill Dragster incident
Cedar Point has reached a settlement with Rachel Hawes, of Swartz Creek, Michigan, who was severely injured while standing in line for Top Thrill Dragster in 2021 when a metal plate from a moving roller coaster train flew off and hit her in the head. The settlement comes just weeks before the ride, which was closed down after the incident, reopens to the public after a major rehaul.
