Celebrate Earth Month with WashU! 💚

At Washington University in St. Louis, we promote sustainability all year long, constantly working to reduce our carbon footprint, understand and address climate change, and prevent environmental degradation. This Earth Month, the Office of Sustainability invites you to engage with us and the broader community as we observe this annual celebration.

Danforth Campus Earth Week
The Student Environmental Council has coordinated events for Earth Week April 1st to April 6th. Included in the round-up is a number of additional WashU-sponsored events. The Spring Festival will be on the South 40 on the evening of April 5th.

Week ly Farmers Market
WashU hosts a year-round weekly farmers market at the Medical Campus. The market has moved back outdoors to the UHSP Quad. For those not on the Medical Campus, there is a Metrolink station right by the market location.

Active Transportation Programming
Every April and October are Active Transportation Months at WashU. There will be free bike tune-ups on both the Danforth and Medical Campuses this month as well as the Active Commuter Challenge on WashU Rides.

Share Our Stuff Collections Begin
As students begin preparing to move out, they can start dropping off their no-longer-needed items on April 15th. Drop-off locations can be found on the first floor or basement of the residential halls. Off campus students can request a donation pick-up or drop off at the North Campus Circularity Center.

WUSM Earth Day Festival
The School of Medicine Earth Day Festival will take place on Thursday, April 25th, 10 am - 2 pm. Enjoy seasonal provisions from the farmers market, get a free bike tune-up (weather-permitting), and engage with WashU departments and local organizations.

St. Louis Earth Day Festival
Visit one of the nation's oldest Earth Day festivals April 20-21 in Forest Park at the Muny Grounds. WashU will be providing free EV shuttle rides from the East End garage to the festival.
