Ah, the season that just kept on giving is coming to an end...but thank god it went on for so long! Can you imagine having to get through the last 6 months of lockdown with clouds overhead, English rain and generally miserable vibes? No thank you!
The 'rarely reliable' British Summer helped us through the last few dismal months, still clinging onto our sanity, so it is with great sadness that we say goodbye to the Summer sun. BUT BEFORE WE DO...we have one last little burst of liquid deliciousness to help us transition into the difficult period between Summer and Autumn: OUR FIG MARTINEZ.
This amazing liquid treat (though we are probably not the most objective of judges) is a slightly sweet, deeply complex and aromatic blend of HYKE gin, Asterley Bros Estate Vermouth, Pedro Ximenez sherry and Fig Liqueur. It's an absolute stunner. Joe Schofield, as always, created the recipe for this one and we think it's an absolute delight.
