Inspirational Volunteer Award Winners

Congratulations and thank you!


Cockburn has some of the most inspiring volunteers ever. This year, the Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to joint winners – Renae Barker, President of Cockburn Toy Library and Phil Charles, of Feed it Forward Maori Stylz WA. Second and third place was awarded to Lani Slaughter, President of Treeby Community Association, and Alex Wychelley of South Beach Community Association, respectively. 

The Volunteer Organisation of the Year award went to Cooby Cares, with second and third place awarded to Yangebup Family Centre for its Cultural Cooking Program, and the Cockburn Chinese Community Association, respectively.

We can never say thank you enough.

2021 VIV Discount Cards

Apply for your new 2021 VIV Cards today!


Cockburn volunteer organisations can reward their volunteers with a Very Important Volunteer (VIV) Card. The card entitles volunteers to discounts from participating local Cockburn business. The card is renewed annually.

To be eligible for a VIV Card you must actively volunteer with a Cockburn local organisation or not-for-profit group supporting the Cockburn community.

It is the responsibility of the group to register its individual volunteers with the Cockburn Volunteer Resource Centre to receive their VIV Cards.

To obtain a VIV cards for your organisation please complete the online form.

Assistance For Cockburn Not-For-Profits

Free Colour Printing

Print up to 500 free colour prints per month.
Great for printing forms, flyers and newsletters.

To schedule a time to print, contact the Volunteer Resource Centre with a weeks notice.

Project Support Program

Need some help to develop a project or idea? Support is available for periods of up to six months. 

Ideal for event planning, membership drives, community engagement and projects.

Tuesday 9am - 3pm
Wednesday 9am - 4:30pm
Thursday 9am - 3pm
Friday 9am - 3pm
