Hello!

Today is National Women’s Equality Day in the U.S.

In 1920, the United States Congress passed the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women equal voting rights. Whether you live in the U.S. or somewhere else, equal voting rights are worth celebrating.

We created a quick read for you on the TinkerLab blog with 6 ways to explore National Women’s Equality Day with children, including:

  1. Two book recommendations - One for littles and a graphic novel for older kids.
  2. A link to a read-aloud of Sofia Valdez, Future Prez
  3. A workbook from the National Park Service on How to Become a Junior Suffragist
  4. A link to the 1886 Women's Suffrage Cookbook (the recipes are so fun to read!)
  5. A look at historical photos from the 1913 Woman Suffrage Procession in Washington D.C.
  6. Women's equality printables, including coloring sheets and information that's kid-friendly.
