Dear John,
Celebrity Series at Home brings you new digital content specially curated by our talented and inspiring Neighborhood Arts artists. This week we are premiering a video featuring the concert and education series Castle of Our Skins with partner school students from the Boston String Academy and Josiah Quincy Elementary School Orchestra Program. They perform the virtual world premiere of Castle of our Skins’ Associate Artistic Director and composer Anthony Green’s newest work, Catto’s Courage, commissioned by the Celebrity Series. Octavius Catto was a freedom fighter and educator who fought for civil rights in the 19th century.
Tune in this Thursday at 7 pm to our Facebook page or YouTube channel to watch this virtual world premiere!
Stay tuned to these emails and to celebrityseries.org for the full announcement of our 2020-2021 season—coming soon! Until then, enjoy three sneak peeks of concert highlights in next season’s line-up.

Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, and Brian Blade released their first collaborative album, MoodSwing, in 1994. Years later, they have reunited and will release their second album, RoundAgain, this summer. Watch them perform a track off the new album here and see them live this October at Symphony Hall!
The 2019-2020 season marked Kirill Petrenko's first as Chief Conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic. We look forward to welcoming him to Symphony Hall for his Celebrity Series debut conducting the Berlin Philharmonic in November! Until then, experience performances from home in their Digital Concert Hall with the code BERLINPHIL for free access for 30 days.
In February 2019 cellist Alisa Weilerstein performed all six Bach Cello Suites to a sold-out house at Jordan Hall. Over the past 36 days, she has recorded and shared one movement each day on her social media for #36DaysofBach. Today marks day 36! We are excited to welcome her back in April 2021 for a performance with Norway's Trondheim Soloists in Jordan Hall.

Fabiola Méndez’ Celebrity Series at Home concert is now available for on-demand viewing! A prize-winning performer, she is the first Berklee College of Music student to graduate with the cuatro as her principal instrument.
