Every week, journalists Katie Herzog and Jesse Singal scour the internet for its craziest, silliest, most sociopathic content, part of an obsessive and ill-conceived attempt to extract kernels of meaning and humanity from a landscape of endless raging dumpster fires. Drawing on their years of experience working in mainstream journalism and getting yelled at a lot on social media, their show is part media criticism, part buddy comedy, and (smaller) part thoughtful, serious discussion about fraught issues. As James Marriott put it in The Times (U.K.), “To clamber through all this thorny territory with confidence and good humor is, I think, pretty remarkable. Even better: it makes me very relieved I don’t spend so much time on Twitter nowadays.

Halloween (1978)

In the original film (Halloween 1978), the villain, Michael Myers, has spent the last 15 years locked away inside a sanitarium under the care of child psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis after brutally killing his sister, Judith. On the night of October 30, 1978, Myers escapes and makes his way back to Haddonfield – the night HE came home – turning a night of tricks and treats into something much more sinister for three young women, including Laurie Strode, the star-making role for Jamie Lee Curtis. The version of Halloween being exhibited is a restored and remastered digital print, created under the supervision of the world-renowned cinematographer, Dean Cundey.

The sport of skiing is unquestionably one of the most diversified recreational pursuits imaginable.  By the time a lifelong skier reaches middle age, he or she has likely dabbled in or fully dedicated him or herself to a myriad of facets within the sport. Each facet provides an entirely new set of experiences, thrills, challenges and rewards. Matchstick Productions 2022 ski film explores this world of opportunities through the eyes of a 12 year-old freestyle phenomenon. Through his voice, the audience hears the skiing aspirations

of such a 12 year-old, a kid who just wants to play and doesn’t have to ponder “real life” quite yet. The core of this film is packed with a star studded cast of skiers shredding across the globe.
