Automated emergency call systems in vehicles are now increasingly being used internationally following the introduction of eCall. We have now completed the first eCall UNECE approval project according to UN - R 144.

In this newsletter we would also like to inform you about emission and immunity tests for medical devices as well as approval update for Thailand and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Emission and immunity tests for medical devices

The ability of a technical device not to interfere with other devices by electrical or electromagnetic effects or to be interfered is known as electromagnetic compatibility. Within the scope of electromagnetic compatibility tests (EMC tests), the focus is therefore on the representation and ultimately the elimination of electromagnetic disturbances.

A task which, especially in the medical field, has been given special significance with the conversion to the Medical Devices Directive (93/42 / EEC / 2007/42 / EC), reflected in standard IEC 60601-1-2, 4th Edition.
