Michelle Sepulveda
I am a queer Chicana artist raised in Brighton and Ft. Lupton, Colorado, creating at the intersection of cultural reconnection, inner child curiosity, and creative healing. Guided by the teachings of my ancestors—with the grace and especially the wisdom of my grandmother—I explore art as a path back to myself: playful, accepting, and full of wonder. Currently I'm leaning toward Mixed Media/collages, Fiber arts: Ojos de Dios/portals,and creating cat hats/photo props (yes cats-wearing hats to take a quick photo)and creating experiences for people to tap into their own curiosities.
My art is a reflection of my healing journey—each piece a step toward deeper connection with self, identity, ancestry, and the cosmos. Through collage, color, and cultural symbolism, I strengthen my awareness, intuition, and trust in the unfolding process. I allow myself to lean into the flow of exploration, play, and curiosity, reclaiming joy and power along the way. My work honors both the wounds and the wisdom passed down through generations. It is through this creative practice that I return home to myself. Art below by Michelle Sepulveda
