Champion Aerospace signs youth apprentices

It was signing day recently for a couple of Pickens County students. They didn’t sign to play any kind of sport, but to work as youth apprentices at Champion Aerospace in Liberty. The apprenticeship program will combine on-the-job learning and job-related education.

Land sold in Spartanburg’s West Main Street corridor

Blackstock Development LLC has purchased two acres of land along W. Main Street in Spartanburg. The company is assembling several opportunity zone parcels with plans to renovate or repurpose existing buildings, according to a news release.

Greenville Revitalization Corp. gets grant

The Greenville Revitalization Corp. has received a $30,000 grant from the John I. Smith Charities to sponsor the building of the Textile Heritage Museum at the Greenville Textile Heritage Park. The John I. Smith Charities, established in 1985 in Greenville, gives primarily to higher education, human services and the arts.
