Is your club doing amazing things? 

Are you well run and organised? 


In 2022 the City of Cockburn will be recognising and rewarding clubs who demonstrate best practice across their organisation. 

To enter simply complete the Cockburn Sporting Clubs Survey.  

Clubs will be assessed by a panel across the following themes:
  • Club Management and Governance
  • Club Finances
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Administration and Planning
  • Communications and Marketing
  • City of Cockburn engagement & Education/Development of volunteers
First, second and third prizes awarded in the following categories:
  • Best small club        (0-100 members)
  • Best medium club    (101-200 members)
  • Best large club         (201+ members)
 1st Place $1,500
2nd Place $1,000
3rd Place $500

Survey's will need to be completed by Friday 8th April 2022

Our workshop will teach you some simple strategies for making sure your
club members are as fit mentally as they are physically.

After all, sporting clubs are more than just a way to get exercise. They are
communities where we make friends, socialise and support each other.

Topics will include:
• How to recognise the signs of poor mental health
• Check in conversations
• Active listening
• How to get help

Face to Face:
When: Wednesday: 25th May
Time: 6-7.30pm
Where: Yangebup Community Centre (Main Hall)
Light Refreshments will be provided.

Online Sessions:
Tuesday: 24th May
Wednesday: 1st June

Sessions will run from 6-7.30pm
We have engaged with Sports Community to deliver an exceptional standard of training courses for club volunteers, parents, coaches and all personnel in order to make their role in grassroots sports easier on them. There is so much involved when it comes to being a committee member at a sporting club, and we want to make it as easy as possible to feel supported in your role.
 
That’s why we are offering all our committee members FREE access to Sports Community’s 3-part webinar series, “Welcome to the Committee” with dates as follows:

Learn the fundamentals and enrich your already existing knowledge to make your role easier at your club. All sessions are recorded, and can be viewed from the comfort of your own home.

Junior Sport Travel Assistance Program
Do you know someone who has been selected to represent Western Australia or Australia? Travelling 100km or more from the city of  Cockburn?

Did you know you can apply for financial assistance through the City of Cockburn.

The Cockburn Junior Sport Travel Assistance program helps young local athletes by providing financial assistance for travel to state or national competitions.
