FACILITIES- Covid-19 update

Proof of Vaccination

From 31 January 2022, the Western Australian (WA) State Government will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination from patrons visiting a range of venues.
Generally speaking, community sport is excluded from Proof of Vaccination requirements however, sport will need to comply with the requirements in the certain circumstances. These include:
  • operating an indoor gym or dance studio (including yoga, barre, pilates, aerobics, dancing or spin facilities or other fitness classes)
  • sale of food or drink (other than takeaway)
  • a liquor license of any sort
  • indoor entertainment venue
If you need further advice, please call the City’s Environmental Health Services Department on 9411 3444 or check out the Proof of Vaccination Directions.
The City of Cockburn understands this weekend, and the next few, may present challenges for administrators, volunteers, spectators and participants in community sport as we all get use to these requirements.  Please be to our hard-working community sport volunteers and staff, they don't make the rules, they are simply trying to follow the rules in place to keep WA safe.
