City of Cockburn Recreation Services offers three different grants to assist sports clubs:
Major Capital Works Grant
Minor Capital Works Grant
Sports Equipment Subsidy
It also offers the Junior Sport Travel Assistance Grant for junior residents who are selected to compete in state, national or international competitions.
Recreation Services NEW Grants Application Portal
Applications for all four grants are now accessible through the City's grants portal, SmartyGrants.
Current grant rounds for this financial year close on Friday 28th May for all sporting club grant applications.
The current Junior Sport Travel Assistance Grants closes on Friday 4th June, with a new round then opening.
The 2021 Volunteer Grants round is now underway with grants of between $1000 and $5000 available to help community organisations to support the efforts of Australian volunteers. Grants can be used for the purchase of small equipment, fuel used by volunteers during their volunteering activity, screening and training costs. Grants can also be used to increase participation and promote awareness of volunteering opportunities and adjust policies and procedures to ensure volunteer safety.
Organisations must be nominated by their Federal Member of Parliament and meet eligibility criteria. Nominations must be submitted by 29 April 2021.

2021 Clubs and Volunteer Sundowner
This year's event is run in the lead up to National Volunteer Week and will be held at the The City of Cockburn Function Room, 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood.
A wonderful opportunity to celebrate volunteering and have fun whilst networking with other local community groups and sporting clubs.
