Changes to City of Cockburn Sporting Grants Policy

At the November Ordinary Council Meeting, Council adopted amendments to the Community Funding for Sporting Clubs and Individuals Policy

The two most significant changes include:
  • Junior Sport Travel Assistance Grants - age eligibility has been extended from 18 years of age and younger. Athletes up to 21 years of age and younger can now apply for the travel grant providing they meet all other eligibility requirements.
  • Sporting Equipment Grants - can now also be used to purchase storage options to assist with ensuring sporting equipment is stored safely and efficiently.
