No dobut there will be more challenges, however our sporting community is a resilient bunch and will tackle any hurdle head on. Healthways 2021 Winter Healthy Sporting Club Program The Healthways Healthy Sporting Club grants program assists clubs to transform their canteens into healthier environments for children, families and the local community. Grants of up to $4,000 are available to boost healthy food and drink options on the menu. The initiative is coordinated with support from WASCA (Western Australian School Canteen Association) promoting the Fuel to Go & Play message. Clubs will participate in training with the (WASCA) to gain new skills for planning and preparing healthy menus. Applications for the 2021 Winter Healthy Sporting Club program will open in January 2021.
City of Cockburn Community Grants & Small Events Sponsorship The City's Community Grants Program financially supports local not-for-profit, incorporated community groups and organisations to provide projects, programs or activities that benefit residents of Cockburn. Applicants must be:based in the City of Cockburn, or primarily serve the Cockburn community, orare looking to provide a service in Cockburn that will benefit the Cockburn communityCommunity Grants are not for recurring annual expenses, they are for "one-off" projects or events, pilot programs, or establishment of a group or activity. Projects or events must not commence within two months of the application closing date (as funding cannot be awarded retrospectively) and a project will only be funded once. Applications will be opening in March 2021, so now is a good time to start thinking about projects that could be eligible for funding assistance. Kidsport Children between 5 and 18 years who are named on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card may be eligible to receive up to $150 per calendar year towards club fees for approved KidSport Clubs. Help more families and children find the benefits of community sport by registering with KidSport to become a KidSport approved club.
