Expressions of Interest -
Free Defibrillators

The St John Heart Grants are now open for applications from not-for-profit, incorporated groups to obtain defibrillator units with a lock box and training for only $249. The units must be made available for public use and clubs will be responsible for ongoing upkeep of the units, ie replacing batteries and expired pads. Read the grant Information Kit for full details.

GLC Residential, a local real estate business, has generously offered to cover the cost of three defibrillator units for use at City of Cockburn community facilities as part of a recent memorial fundraising drive. The defibrillators must be obtained through clubs successfully applying for the grant program.

Any defib units obtained by clubs must be installed by the City, so clubs are invited to liaise with Recreation Services through an Expression of Interest prior to applying for the grants.

To lodge your club's Expression of Interest, email Recreation Services on recreation@cockburn.wa.gov.au with the following details:

  • Your name
  • Club name and facility used
  • Email address and contact number

Successful clubs will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with both the City and GLC Residential to acknowledge that they will be responsible for paying the ongoing costs associated with the defib unit.
