| NEW 2023 Very Important Volunteer (VIV) Cards City of Cockburn sports clubs are invited to treat your volunteers with discounts at local businesses! The 2022 VIV cards will expire on 31 December, your volunteers will need a new 2023 VIV Discount card to continue accessing savings at local businesses from 1 January 2023. This card is for regular/ongoing volunteers, not one-off volunteers, who either reside in or volunteer in Cockburn. | Free Advertising for City of Cockburn Clubs The City currently has 22 community sign boards across 16 of our suburbs that can be booked by community groups and clubs as free banner advertising. This could be for events, registration days, For the full list of locations, see the list within the Cockburn Community Sign Hire Application - City of Cockburn Bookings are essential and are for a period of two weeks. Extensions may be possible as long as no other group has requested the space. Clubs must supply their own banner (vinyl construction of no more than 2m wide x 1m high) and must install and remove themselves. |

| City of Cockburn Community Venues Online Booking On 1st November 2022, 'SpacetoCo' the new bookings system for Community Venues went live, allowing hirers to see the availability of community centres for hire and book online. All community centres are now available to be viewed and booked for fundraising events, wind-ups/presentations, and other events and can be found at Spaces Hosted by City of Cockburn - Recreation Services | SpacetoCo Hirers need to register to become a verified user to be able to use the system, which will also be for all seasonal hire of sports reserves. Bookings can only be accepted when hirers have been approved as a verified user, which includes providing payment details. Winter clubs that hire our facilities will soon receive an invitation to submit their seasonal hire applications with a link to become a verified user. Clubs will continue to be invoiced for reserve/clubroom hire as usual at the end of season. |

| Community Venues Online Maintenance Request Form All hirers of City reserves and clubroom facilities or community centres are asked to complete the new Online Maintenance Request to report all maintenance issues at their facility. It can be accessed at Community Venue Maintenance Request - City of Cockburn This form is only reporting a safety or maintenance issue at the community venue you use if you are: A sporting club with a seasonal hire arrangement of a City of Cockburn reserve/clubrooms, or A regular or casual hire user of a City of Cockburn community facility. Important note: If the issue poses an immediate risk to safety of members or the public, or a significant risk to the building security or structure, please call: Customer Service 08 9411 3444 during business hours, or CoSafe 1300 26 72 33 outside of business hours. Please note: maintenance requests lodged online during the Christmas closure will not be actioned until the Administration Office reopens. |
