| | | | | | | | | Online safety advice and resources for sports clubs The eSafety Commissioner has developed a Sports Hub in conjunction with Sport Integrity Australia, Australian Sports Commission and Play by the Rules. The hub provides advice and resources for administrators, coaches and officials, athletes, and parents to help make sure everyone in sport has more positive experiences online. Topics include how to recognise and deal with online abuse, and ways to stay safe online. | | |

| | | | | Australian Sports Commission funding for athletes The Australian Sports Commission provides financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-18 through the Local Sporting Champions program and the Local Para Champions program. Applicants can receive between $500-$750 (Local Sporting Champions) or $750-$1000 (Local Para Champions) towards the cost of attending a state, national or international competition. Applications close 31 July 2024. | | |

| | | New ABN reporting requirements for Not-for-profits From 1 July this year, non-charitable not-for-profit groups with a registered ABN, including community sporting clubs, will be required to lodge an annual NFP self-review to the Australian Tax Office confirming their income tax exemption status. It is also an Australian Business Register requirement that all organisations, including NFPs, maintain and update their ABN details within 28 days of becoming aware of changes.
