Changes to State Government COVID Restrictions | The State Government will ease COVID restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne. From this Friday 8 July the following operating conditions apply: Face masks must be carried at all times, and must be worn indoors, however face masks are not required in schools or in workplaces that are not public facing (e.g. office work). Face masks must be worn if serving customers.Up to 75% of staff can return to office workplaces, subject to density quotient of 1 person per 2sqmAll Retail: density quotient of 1 person per 2 sqm applies when using a COVID Check-in Marshal, otherwise density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. Hairdressing, Beauty and Personal care: density quotient of 1 person per 2 sqm applies when using a COVID Check-in Marshal, otherwise density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. Mandatory Use of The Victorian Government QR Code Service | The State Government has mandated that all businesses must use the Victorian Government QR Code Service and ensure customers check-in. Pen and paper register must be available for people who do not have access to a smartphone or cannot use the QR Code Service to check in.
