We’re another step closer to March Madness, and with it comes good news. Starting today, our Betting Editor Justin Perri is going to publish his Best Bets column on a daily basis. Unlike yours truly, who throws darts and sticks his finger to the wind to make my picks, Justin makes his wagers using sophisticated data provided by the analytics company ShotQuality. So before you make your betting choices for tonight’s biggest games, I’d suggest you to consult Justin’s advice. And then do the same tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.

Since we only send out these emails three times a week (don’t worry, we’ll be sending them more frequently during March Madness), I encourage you to follow us on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok, where you'll find links to Justin’s daily articles — actually, to all of our articles. And you’ll have more of your money to bet with, because we are offering our pre-March Madness 68 percent off sale for an annual subscription, which for a limited time is just $19.19.

I also encourage you to read Alex Squadron’s strong-ass article on McNeese coach Will Wade, whose Cowboys have won the Southland Conference regular season title for the second year in a row. Brad Wachtel updates his Bubble Watch, our WNBA Draft expert Hayley McGoldrick gives us her draft sleepers and the rest of our crew has you loaded up as always. It’s the most wonderful time of the year and Hoops HQ will be with you for every dribble.

Have a great day, and thanks as always for your support of Hoops HQ. — Seth

Bubble Watch Update: Time Is Running Out

Indiana, Boise State Back in the Bubble, Texas and Arkansas Face Off in Win or Go Home Game

By Brad Wachtel

Welcome to the latest edition of Bubble Watch.

Last night, unranked Georgia stunned No.3 Florida, winning 88-83, which had a huge impact on the bubble as it put the Bulldogs right on the cut line. I’m anticipating more craziness tonight, with six games that will have a significant impact on who’s in and who’s out.

Let’s start off with the teams that need to win in order to remain in the field or jump into the field. First off, it’s Ohio State at USC. The Buckeyes, 15-13 overall, were knocked out of my latest bracket as it’s extremely rare to see a team receive an at-large bid being only two games over .500. However, the Buckeyes still have strong enough wins (at Purdue, Kentucky, Texas), where a win over USC would shift them back into the field.

Next we have Texas at Arkansas. Both teams are teetering on the edge of the bubble. Texas is coming off a bad loss to a winless South Carolina team which knocked the Longhorns out of the field. A win at Arkansas would surely put them on the right side of the cut line, while putting the Razorbacks at-large status in doubt.

Now that we’ve covered the teams that need to win to get into the field, let’s look at those that will drop out should they lose tonight. First up is Penn State at Indiana. The Hoosiers are coming off an emotional win over in-state rival Purdue on Sunday afternoon, but…

No. 8 Michigan State @ No. 16 Maryland: A season ago, Maryland went 16-17 and finished 12th in the Big Ten. Now Kevin Willard's team is in the hunt to win a regular season conference title, but it really needs a win on Wednesday. (You can read all about the turnaround in College Park here.). Michigan State sits atop the league at 13-3 after beating Purdue and Michigan last week. Can sensational freshman Derik Queen carry the Terps to victory at the Xfinity Center? Or will MSU's fast-rising freshman Jase Richardson steal the show? 6:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
