How many times can one actor physically transform for a role in her career? According to Charlize Theron's resumé, the answer does not exist.

The South African-born beauty made her movie debut with an uncredited part in the 1995 horror classic, Children of the Corn III.

"I was one of the 500 kids running through a field. I actually had my own murder scene in it," Theron told Oprah Winfrey in a 2005 interview."I got dragged into the earth, kicking and screaming."

But it was playing a hitman's girlfriend in the 1996 noir drama 2 Days in the Valley that kickstarted what would become a multi-award-winning career for the blonde bombshell from Benoni.

"In South Africa, it's a much harder life because survival is so at the core of everything. It's farm life," Theron told Winfrey.

Over her 26-year film career, the 47-year-old has played everything from a determined detective, a post-apocalyptic road warrior, a serial killer and a news anchor, to an evil fairy-tale queen and an immortal mercenary.

"Magnify Succession a million times, and it was my family," says Casey Hammer in the trailer for new documentary House of Hammer.

Nandi Madida has been announced as one of the upcoming South African Music Awards hosts.

The British actor is promoting his latest film Beast, which was filmed entirely on location in South Africa, and stopped by The Daily Show to chat more about it.

Angus Cloud has revealed the incident behind the scar on his head. In 2013, the actor fell into a construction pit and woke up 12 hours later.

REVIEW

"Me, I liked it quite a bit. It may be fatuous, self-indulgent and silly, and it might be full of dodgy accents and just a few too many one-liners that don't land, but it's also really a whole lot of fun."
