After her stage win in the Vuelta Femenina a few weeks ago, Charlotte Kool struck again today for the team as she powered to victory on home soil at Omloop der Kempen.
The day started with some bad luck, with the first 45 kilometres marred by a crash involving some of the team, which meant that Maeve Plouffe was forced to abondon the race.
Moments later, three riders successfully forged clear to make the days breakaway. Their lead increased to no more than a minute as the peloton kept the group close to ensure a bunch sprint at the end of the day. With 12 kilometres to go the catch was made, and the team geared up to bring fast woman Charlotte Kool into position for the sprint. She proved to be too strong for her competitors and forged to what is another fantastic win for the team.
