Murder charges refused in cold case: Prosecutors in Jefferson Parish won’t pursue murder charges against a couple accused of killing their newborn baby and leaving her body in a Mississippi dumpster in 1992, Michelle Hunter reports. The cold case had gone more than 30 years before being cracked with the help of DNA analysis.
