KQED’s award-winning restaurant review program Check, Please! Bay Area returns with four new episodes featuring delicious dining experiences from around the region. Ready to discover some new Bay Area flavors for the fall? Check, Please! Bay Area is back in November with handpicked recommendations for local restaurants you won’t want to miss! On each episode of this James Beard and Emmy Award-winning series, three locals sit down with host Leslie Sbrocco to rave about their favorite neighborhood eats. After checking out each other’s spots, they join Sbrocco to discuss, debate and dish on their dining experiences. From 12-hour lamb shoulder tandoor in San Francisco to rich, bold flavors of Central Asian dishes in San Jose, we’ve scoured the Bay for the best bites and standout spots so you don’t have to. Join us for four new episodes starting on Thursday, November 7th at 7:30pm on KQED 9, as three guests join Leslie to break down what’s tasty on the menu at The Hideout Kitchen in Lafayette, Tostadas in San Jose, and Pixiu Mala Hongtang in Oakland. Cecilia Phillips wraps up our first episode exploring Goth-themed treats onboard the USS Hornet at The Menagerie Oddities Market in Alameda. Want to see where we are heading next?
