KQED’s award-winning restaurant review program Check, Please! Bay Area returns next month with a line-up of five new episodes featuring delicious dining experiences from around the region.

Each Thursday, starting September 7th, host Leslie Sbrocco joins three local residents as they reveal their favorite places to go for a delicious meal. From a craft brew pub to an Arabic comfort food cafe to the country’s oldest cheese company, we have top picks and best bites from everyday viewers around the Bay! In each episode, three Bay Area residents recommend their favorite eateries as well as the dishes they just can’t resist, and then their fellow guests go check them out. After sampling one another’s top picks, they join Leslie in the studio to discuss, dispute, and celebrate their dining experiences.

The fun kicks off Thursday, September 7th at 7:30 PM, as three guests join Leslie at KQED’s San Francisco studio to break down what’s hot and what’s hotter on the menu at Mill Valley’s Chinese-American gem Mamahuhu, San Francisco’s always sumptuous Zuni Café, and Nick’s Pizza and Bakery, home to Oakland-style sourdough crust.
