Chemical company breaks ground in Richland County 

The $20 million, 65,000-square-foot facility at Pineview Industrial Park will be Miwon Specialty Chemical Co. Ltd.’s first U.S. production plant. It is expected to come online in the first quarter of 2021.

Women's Business Centers opened in Columbia, Greenville 

Women-owned enterprises across the state will have access to training and resources through two U.S. Small Business Administration business development hubs in Greenville and Columbia.

Extended unemployment benefits now available in S.C.

Individuals who have exhausted both regular unemployment insurance and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation assistance may be eligible for up to 10 additional weeks of extended benefits.

Richland County sees 1,554 unemployment claims in week

The number of initial unemployment claims filed in S.C. for the week ending June 27 dropped by 139 from the previous week. In the last 15 weeks, 635,688 claims have been filed.
