 BY VICKI FERSTEL | Staff writer A child slayer dies: Christopher Sepulvado, the 81-year-old death row prisoner who was scheduled to be executed on March 17, died this weekend at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. Sepulvado, convicted in the 1992 murder of his six-year-old stepson, Wesley Allen Mercer, was the oldest of the 57 people on death row in Louisiana. Should he have been facing execution at his age?
