China Eastern, Japan Airlines seek to form joint venture

Now that Airbus has taken control of the CSeries program, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft (BCA) said it will focus on returning to profitability by reducing the cost structure for its regional airliners, increasing production volume and growing aftermarket revenue, Bombardier CEO Alain Bellemare told analysts on the company’s Aug. 2 second-quarter results call.

Ryanair’s Irish pilots call for fifth strike day

Ryanair pilots in Ireland have called a fifth one-day strike for Aug. 10, leading the Irish LCC to cancel a further 20 flights and adding to a wave of European industrial action as a conflict with its workforce continues.

Marketing push narrows Royal Jordanian 1H losses
