How Much Risk Should You Be Taking?
Today, I’m going to teach you something that I wish I knew when I first started trading.
You see, there are two sides to trading... There’s the risk vs. reward, and then there’s the probability of the trade actually working out.
Now, a lot of traders think that the risk vs. reward is what makes a trade worth taking. But that’s really not the case at all!
You really have to think about the full picture so you can really know how much risk you should be taking.
Here’s what I mean… |
Weekly Update: Stocks Struggle to Hold Gains It's been a wild holiday-shortened trading week so far... On Tuesday, the bears continued the attack they started the week before. But the bulls showed up on Wednesday in a big way. They pushed the S&P 500 (ES) up 1.8%, the Nasdaq 100 (NQ) up 2% and the Russell 2000 (RTY) higher by 2.1%. Meanwhile, crude oil (CL) futures dropped a whopping 5.7%, which helped to ease inflation concerns a bit. Traders then spent most of today's session digesting those moves, and the indexes ended roughly flat. For all of our detailed analysis and how we're managing our trades in this wild market, join the War Room today!
