More than three years after filing an application to demolish the house, Chris Martin has finally torn down John Lautner’s Garwood Residence. Built in the early 1970s and controversially remodeled in the decades since, the modernist structure will be replaced by a larger mansion set to include a new tennis court, swimming pool, outdoor amphitheater and a detached guesthouse.
