Ruah, which means, “wind, breath or spirit” in Hebrew is the perfect name for our proprietary blend that reflects the unique terroir of the Wahluke Slope.
Our Ruah is our premiere red blend featuring primarily Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside smaller portions of traditional Bordeaux varietals, like Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Carmenere, and Petit Verdot. The resulting wine is rich and complex with dark fruit flavors and hints of vanilla, lavender, and cocoa.
In a vertical tasting, there is a unique opportunity to explore wines from a single winery over the course of years, side-by-side. showcasing multiple vintages of the same wine. As everything else stays the same, the producer, the land, the winemaking practices you can simply compare the years themselves. In this kind of tasting, the influence of the yearly climate is highlighted in each vintage.
