Chase settles paid parental leave suit

JPMorgan Chase will pay a $5 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit for allegedly denying male workers the same opportunity female workers get to take 16 weeks of paid parental leave when they have a new infant. The lawsuit began when a male employee was told that he would not qualify for the 16-week leave unless he met specific criteria, such as proving that his wife was "medically incapable" of tending to the newborn.
