Brynley Heidebrink was participating in her first Holy Communion ceremony when she was offered a sip of wine by the priest, which is the customary last step in the religious event.
Although her mother told her several times she would only take a sip, or even just let the wine touch her lips and not drink, Brynley decided to take a different approach in the moment.
After being offered the wine, Brynley began to drink, and she didn’t stop. As her mother looked on in horror, the priest began to try to get the cup back from Brynley, but she kept on gulping.
