36V 4A DC-DC Buck Module Boasts Tiny Footprint
Texas Instruments (TI) has introduced what it claims is the industry’s smallest 36V, 4A power module in a QFN package. The TPSM53604 DC/DC buck module’s 5mm x 5.5mm footprint enables engineers to shrink the size of their power supply by 30% while reducing power loss by 50% when compared to similar competing modules.
AC-DC Supplies Deliver 600W for Medical and Industrial Systems
TDK has announced the CUS600M AC-DC power supply series in a 3” x 5” footprint. Rated at 600W these compact products meet curve B conducted and radiated EMI in either a Class I or Class II (double insulated) construction, without the need for external filtering.

Tiny LIDAR IC Doubles Bandwidth for Self-Driving Cars
Maxim Integrated Products has released what it says are the industry’s fastest and smallest LIDAR ICs. Compared to the closest competitive solution, Maxim says the MAX40026 high-speed comparator and the MAX40660/MAX40661 high-bandwidth transimpedance amplifiers enable 10mph (15km/h) faster autonomous driving at highway speeds by providing more than 2x higher bandwidth.
Datasheet: Power Supplies for Medical Use
There’s been an increasing trend toward new products that have some sort of application focus. That means supplies that include either certifications, special performance specs or tailored packaging intended for applications such as medical.
2kW Power Supplies Meet ICT and Networking Needs
Murata has announced the expansion of its D1U54 Series with the 2,000W rated D1U54-x-2000-12, the latest in a line of slim, redundant, AC-DC and DC-DC Front End power supplies. In an industry standard 1U x 2.15″ x 12.65″ (1U x 54.5mm x 321.5mm), this series provides 2,000W continuous output power with cold redundant power management features.
