TDK has announced the 500W rated i7A non-isolated DC-DC converters. Capable of operating from an input voltage of 18V to 60V, the step-down converters deliver an output voltage that can be adjusted from 3.3V to 24V with an output current of up to 33A. The series is designed to be used in a wide range of applications including medical, communications, industrial and battery powered equipment.

ABB has announced its new, high power density 90A DecaDLynxII power supply. The DC-DC converter fits into a 327-mm² footprint and achieves a 178-A/in² power density—one of the highest available today, says the company. The DJT090 DecaDLynxII power modules can accommodate input voltages ranging from 7.0VDC to 14.4VDC, with precisely regulated, programmable output voltages of 0.50V to 2V.

Texas Instruments has expanded its high-voltage power management portfolio with its next generation of 650V and 600V GaN FETs for automotive and industrial applications. With a fast-switching, 2.2MHz integrated gate driver, the new families of GaN FETs help engineers deliver twice the power density, achieve 99% efficiency and reduce the size of power magnetics by 59% compared to existing solutions.
