Coffee Lake Mini-ITX Board Supports 3 Displays

Axiomtek has announced the MANO522, a Mini-ITX motherboard powered by the LGA1151 socket 9th/8th generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processor (code name: Coffee Lake) with the Intel H310 chipset. With a small form factor of 17cm x 17cm, this industrial motherboard is well suited for space-constrained environments. Its high computing power, 4K-ready and high expandability make it a fit for intelligent transportation, factory automation, self-service kiosks, infotainment and digital signage.

Embedded World Pre-Show Highlights from congatec

In the run-up to the virtual Embedded World 2021, congatec has already announced some of its forthcoming product launches. Three priorities are being set. The top priority is to enhance the COM-HPC-based edge and fog computing portfolio with support for harsh environments. A new module with the NXP i.MX 8M Plus processor will be added to the SMARC product range in the low power segment. The presentations are topped off by the 8 Core AMD V2000 COM Express board.

Tiny Module Combines i.MX8M Mini and Rich I/O

ICOP Technology has released its NX8MM-D168 module based on NXP’s i.MX8M Mini SoC. The NX8MM-D168 runs Yocto Linux and Android 9 on the 1.6GHz i.MX8M Mini. NXP’s Cortex-A53-based i.MX8M Mini uses a more advanced 14LPC FinFET process than the i.MX8M. The NX8MM-D168 board uses a 168-pin board-to-board connector for configurable I/O expansion and has soldered-on LPDDR4 and eMMC.

i.MX8M Nano Appears on

Raspberry Pi-Like SBC

In 2019, Avnet’s Embest unit launched a $60 MaaXBoard SBC featuring NXP’s i.MX8M and followed up last year with a similar MaaXBoard Mini based on the i.MX8M Mini. Now, the company has has opened pre-orders for a similarly Raspberry Pi-like SBC with the slightly lower powered, VPU-less i.MX8M Nano. Like the other MaaxBoards, this does not appear to ship with open specifications and community support, but images will be available for Android 9.0 and Linux.
