Microchip Expands TrustFLEX Family with CEC1736 Real-Time Platform Root of Trust Devices

The CEC1736 Trust Shield family is a microcontroller-based platform root of trust solution enabling cyber resiliency for data centers, telecom, networking, embedded computing and industrial applications.

Now, as part of the TrustFLEX platform, the devices are partially configured and provisioned with Microchip-signed Soteria-G3 firmware to reduce the development time needed to integrate platform root of trust.

NXP Extends Industry-Leading Edge Portfolio with New MCX W Wireless MCU Series

The MCX W series includes the industry’s first wireless MCU to support the new Bluetooth Channel Sounding standard, which improves the accuracy and security of distance measurement compared to traditional Bluetooth technology for a wide range of applications, such as secure access, asset tracking and indoor wayfinding.

Along with NXP’s Trimension® portfolio of ultra-wideband (UWB) secure radar and fine ranging products, the MCX W will further evolve ambient computing into a broad range of market segments and applications.

The BSP provides complete DO-178C/ED-12C DAL A verification evidence, including high assurance boot, multiple Ethernet channels leveraging the T2080 DPAA, PCIe, SATA flash storage, I2C, serial, real-time clock, watch dog timer, SPI, USB, and GPIO, greatly accelerating the development, deployment, and certification of high-performance safety-critical applications for avionics systems.

Whether it's protecting sensitive user data in consumer electronics or ensuring the safety of critical infrastructure in industrial settings, the integrity of microcontrollers is paramount.

Consider the role of microcontrollers in medical devices like pacemakers or insulin pumps. These life-saving technologies rely on microcontrollers to deliver precise and timely treatments.
