IIoT is Becoming More of a Staple In Factories

The use of IIoT, Circuit Cellar experts, has become a mainstream, use case.

The energy sector is seeing a surge in connected Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices, as well as major manufacturing centers, around the world. Volvo introduces a LoRaWAN system into is Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) system in France, Bridging the gap between Wi-Fi-controlled systems and LoRaWAN.

The large-scale use of IIoT in mainstream factories, and in large energy installations is now hitting with the force of a tidal wave.

Volve will be equipping all of its factories with an IIoT system, not just Lyons, France, due to the success of the test installation there.

Greater manipulation and data collection from large wind and solar installations is

becoming more widespread, and companies like VanZandt Controls want to move into the sector in a big way. Acquiring connectivity companies to run IIoT on control systems in the renewable energy marketplace.
