Telit has announced the ME310G1-W2, what the company claims is the world’s smallest LTE-M/NB-IoT module for use in the 450MHz band. Designed for applications in the field of public safety, smart grids, smart cities or e-health, the new module also provides a smooth upgrade path to LTE for existing CDMA 450 deployments.
COVID-19 Tracker Uses Bluetooth and UWB
Nordic Semiconductor has announced that PHYTEC is employing Nordic’s nRF52832 Bluetooth SoC-based module—the Decawave DWM1001C—in an ultra-wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth workplace social distancing tracker that was developed specifically to combat COVID-19.

u‑blox and greenTEG have announced the commercial launch of a new venture brand, named CORE. It is a wearable for continuous and accurate core body temperature monitoring. The device, which communicates wirelessly using the u‑blox NINA-B306 stand-alone Bluetooth 5 low energy module, can be used to track its users’ wellness status, and alerts them when their core body temperature rises unexpectedly.
