Semtech has announced the launch of a new product in its LoRa Core portfolio, the LoRa Corecell Reference Design for full duplex gateway applications in the U.S. 902 – 928MHz ISM band. The new turnkey gateway solution enables the expansion of network capacity for outdoor and indoor applications, such as smart metering, smart building and smart factory. The reference design enables network owners to increase network capacity while deploying fewer gateways, providing cost savings to end customers when compared to cellular alternatives, says Semtech.

Sfera Labs has launched a $276 “Exo Sense Pi” multi-sensor computer based on a Raspberry Pi (RPi) CM4 with sensors for air quality, temp, humidity, light and motion plus RS-485, an open collector output, 2x digital inputs, a mic and an RTC. The Exo Sense Pi is designed for residential and commercial applications such as environmental monitoring and data gathering, BLE positioning, indoor people and assets tracking and more.

STMicroelectronics (ST) has announced its support for the mioty standard, which enables highly scalable, long-range and extremely low-power wireless connections. Joining the mioty Alliance, which maintains the specifications and promotes the technology, ST has announced availability of a protocol stack from ST Authorized Partner Stackforce that allows customers to create mioty devices using the STM32WL wireless System-on-Chip (SoC).
