M.2 Cards Marry U‑blox Wireless Tech with NXP Eval Boards

U-blox has introduced a set of Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6 (both with Bluetooth) expansion cards that plug into NXP Semiconductors’ i.MX processor evaluation kits. The cards, which conform to the M.2 form factor, integrate U‑blox modules powered by wireless SoCs from NXP. The cards are built to the M.2 Type 2230 Key E form factor, for which sockets are provided on the latest range of NXP i.MX evaluation boards.

Survey Pegs Industry 4.0 to Become Lead IoT Segment

Newark has published new research on the Internet of IoT which reveals the growing role of IoT for industrial automation and control applications essential to the delivery of Industry 4.0. Results say the top three industry segments leading the way in IoT applications are industrial automation and control (25%), home automation (18%) and artificial intelligence (12%).

Based on Sony’s Spresense embedded board, Andrei’s device locally tracks the location of the user, without sharing it externally. Whenever the user is close to a landmark, the device will play back a recording talking about the landmark.

Antenova has announced a compact high performing antenna for the 5G bands worldwide, including band 74 (1420MHz-1520MHz) and band 71 (617MHz-698MHz). Lutosa is a flexible antenna measuring 95mm x 15mm x 0.15mm, making it well suited for smaller designs, because it can be curved or folded and inserted into the device. It is simply fixed in place using its own self-adhesive strip.
